Sandra Fisher is a very talented artist who would forever explore a variety of media to ensure that the final art work reflects the joys of discovery, experiences and feelings. Her talent is multi-faceted: she is at home with painting, whether it is in oil or acrylic or mixed media, clay and pottery, sculpting from whatever media suits the subject matter, from tiny fairies to monumental steel sculptures or capturing life and feelings by using photography as a tool. These images serve only as an illustration of the extent and depth of her talents as a photographer. Follow the links for more images of her talents as a sculptor or painter. While Sandra could be regarded as a relatively recent newcomer to Braidwood, she has made an impact in Braidwood’s art world not only as the photographer that contributed to the successes of plays but as a solo exhibitor at the Altenburg Gallery.
Her exhibition of what she calls “digital art” revealed her talent in taking
the perfect image that then lends itself to designed artistic manipulation
in order to find the best way to reflect feelings and get the messages
across.
The success of her solo exhibition, “Exoticar”, was repeated when recently,
in the Palerang Shire competition of “100 Views of Mt Palerang”, her image
of a “Sacred Cow” silhouetted against the
magnificent backdrop of the hills caught the Mayor’s eye and it now adorns
the wall of his office.
